| The MDDC
Distinguished Service Award was established in 2004 by the MDDC Board of Directors to
annually recognize an MDDC volunteer whose extraordinary efforts serving the organization
has made a profound and lasting difference to MDDC and its membership. The Distinguished Service Award winner is honored with a plaque that is presented at MDDC's Annual Convention and Membership Meeting held in November each year. In addition, a $500 contribution is made to the MDDC Press Foundation in the winner's name and a photo of the winner is added to the permanent display at MDDC's headquarters in Crofton, MD.
