    The contest, sponsored by the MDDC Press Foundation, honors an outstanding senior staff member of a Maryland, Delaware or District of Columbia-area high school newspaper. The winner receives a $1,500 cash award and is honored at the MDDC Editorial Conference in the Spring. Applications for the award are mailed to area high schools in the Fall and are due in January.
