The Carroll County Times is seeking an Advertising Director. Seeking candidates with a passion for leading print and digital advertising sales. The Advertising Director will be responsible for the overall advertising sales results of our retail, classified, digital and special events efforts. The Carroll County Times is a 7-day daily newspaper with a circulation of 24,000 week day and 25,000 on Sunday. The Ad Director is also responsible for advertising sales for our full Landmark of Maryland portfolio of print and digital products, including weekly newspapers, direct mail coupon magazines, free rack real estate publications, trade shows and several web sites.

The Times is looking for a sales leader who has a lead-by example coaching style including strong experience of spending time in the field making calls with sales reps and staying in touch with customers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years print/digital sales management experience with a proven track record of success.

The ad director role requires a demonstrated ability to develop and initiate solid strategic sales initiatives that result in business growth and a complete understanding of digital platforms and successful revenue growth strategies. We are looking for an individual with a customer first mind set, high ethical standards and a willingness to be actively involved in the community. Carroll County is centrally located in northern Maryland; approximately 35 minutes from Gettysburg, PA, 45 minutes from Baltimore, MD, and 90 minutes from Washington, D.C. The newspaper is owned by Landmark Community Newspapers, LLC, a privately held newspaper and digital news company with an excellent reputation for quality journalism and community involvement.
