News reporter for community newspaper
If you're a great storyteller, handy with a camera, thrive on shooting videos and have a knack for community news, the Middletown Transcript is looking for you.
Middletown is a growing community not far from Wilmington, Dover and the beaches of Delaware.
We're looking for a reporter with at least two years of experience, which could include internships. Good traditional newspaper skills (writing, reporting and knowledge of AP style) are required. However, candidates also must be comfortable shooting photographs and video (or willing and able to quickly learn.) Knowledge of how to use social media to engage readers also is important. Come learn from a veteran editor who can help you develop strong enterprise stories and engaging digital content. We offer a competitive base salary with bonus potential along with all of the benefits you’d expect.
We're about an hour from Philly, Baltimore and Washington D.C. as well as some of the best beaches in the mid-Atlantic. Resumes and story clips should be submitted to jim.lee@doverpost.com.
