Committee Chairman Jim Flood, Sr., publisher and chairman of the Dover Post Company, says
the committee is seeking nominees for election to the MDDC Newspaper Hall of Fame in 2002. "At a time when the news media are not held in very high regard by the public, according to various polls, its good common sense as well as a pleasant undertaking to cite individuals who measure up to the high standards of journalism which I am convinced reflect the aspirations of a majority of news-writing professionals," said Flood. The requirements for nomination as adopted by the Associations Board of Directors, are as follows:
Each nomination is to be accompanied by a biography, not to exceed one typewritten page, and an 8x10 portrait-type color photograph. Deadlines for nominations for induction in 2002 is November 1, 2001.
