MDDC Workshops for Rest of 2002

MDDC workshops have drawn good attendance throughout the first half of the year for topics such as PDFs, improving business pages, circulation, training the new manager, copy editing, legal issues in advertising and advertising sales.

The Professional Development Committee planned a busy year with many popular programs returning, as well as new subjects added.

If you haven’t had the chance to participate yet, there are several seminars scheduled for the second half of the year.

Mark you calendars now for these editorial, technology and advertising sessions. Registration information and materials are mailed to member newspapers and also posted on the MDDC Web site at www.mddcpress.com.

• Writing Workshop – October 10, Baltimore

• Adobe Illustrator – October 24, Anne Arundel Community College

• FOI Training – November 14, Baltimore

• Classified Advertising Workshop – December 5, Crofton

• Court Coverage – postponed from August 1 until fall, Baltimore
