Frederick News-Post Publishes Tribute to Essential Workers

On Easter Sunday, the Frederick News-Post published a special section highlighting businesses giving thanks to their essential workers. More than 40 businesses, including a local hospital, a college, automotive repair shops, and plumbers, purchased advertisements in this special section. “The sales force of the FNP manned the phones from home and got the job done in only 4 selling days. Starting as a one-page telemarketing page this theme clearly hit the mark for our tight knit community. The last ad was sold and proofed 20 minutes before press time. Our creative services and press crew pulled off a product to be proud of. Businesses have already started signing up for a May edition,” said Connie Hastings, Advertising Director of the Frederick News-Post.

An idea that started as a group page quickly turned in to a multi-page section that allowed businesses to highlight that they are open, thank their essential staff for a job well done, and stimulate quick revenue for the newspaper.
