MDDC Papers Claim Awards for Advertising and Web |
| A number of MDDC member newspapers have won awards for their
achievement in the areas of advertising, marketing and Web sites in recent months. The Newspaper Association of America Digital Edge Award for Best News Site, Circulation more than 250,000 was presented to washingtonpost.com the Web site of Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive. The NAA New Media Federation presented the award. The News Journal, Wilmington, was recognized for achievement in the Editor & Publisher/International Newspaper Marketing Association awards. The newspaper received first place for Community Service, circulation 125,000 300,000 and second place for In-Newspaper Promotion:Readership. Several newspapers were honored with NAA ACME (Advertising, Circulation & Marketing Excellence) Awards recently. The awards were presented to recognize newspapers for outstanding marketing and promotion efforts.
