Cats & Dogs Star in New Literacy Ads

Featured in the latest series of literacy ads from the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) that tie in with popular films are characters from "Cats & Dogs" and "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within."

Carrying the tagline, "It all starts with newspapers," the ads are designed to encourage young people to read. They feature characters from soon-to-be-released movies reading a newspaper and discussing the importance of reading.

Appearing in the ads from "Cats & Dogs" are Mr. Tinkles, a revolutionary Persian cat, and Lou the Beagle puppy. The animated Dr. Aki Ross, from "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" is featured in the third ad.

All three ads are produced in quarter, half and full pages for both standard and 50-inch web formats. The ads can be downloaded from the NAA Web site at www.naa.org and include room for the newspaper’s logo.
