Keven Todd of GateHouse Media Joins MDDC Board of Directors

At the May 2014 Board of Directors meeting, Keven Todd was elected to the board to serve two years in the class of 2016. In addition, Todd was named to the Government Affairs committee, chaired by Jim McLaughlin of the Washington Post. Todd was named Group Publisher of GateHouse Media’s Delaware newspapers in January 2014. Todd comes to Delaware after serving as publisher at the Los Alamos Monitor in New Mexico since 2009. His newspaper career spans more than three decades.

Todd is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and started his career as a beat reporter and photographer for a small community newspaper while working toward a degree in journalism at Texas Christian University. Todd worked his way up on the news side at various newspapers and magazines before moving into marketing and then into sales and sales management.

Todd has held sales leadership roles at The Dallas Morning News, The Courier-Journal (Louisville, Ky.), The Sun News (Myrtle Beach, S.C.), Beaufort (S.C.) Gazette and The Island Packet (Hilton Head Island, S.C.). He was named publisher of the daily Lahontan Valley News in northern Nevada in 2007. During his tenure in Los Alamos, the newspaper earned several awards, including back-to-back General Excellence awards in 2011 and 2012.
