Former MDDC Intern, Towson Times Staffer Dies |
| Chrystal Clifford, 22, a former participant in the MDDC internship
program and a staff member at the Towson Times, died as a result of injuries suffered in a
car accident Feb. 17. Clifford graduated summa cum laude from Towson University last year, where she was named most promising journalism major. She joined the staff of the Towson Times in June. She was one of the four students who participated in the MDDC internship program in its first year. She spent the summer and fall of 1999 at the Columbia Flier and the Howard County Times. "She had all the traits you look for in a good reporter," said Jim Keat, who supervises the internship program for MDDC. "She was highly motivated, full of spunk . . . a bundle of energy." |
