| Robinson Inducted to Hall of Fame Community Journalist W. Wright Robinson, who has chronicled life in and around Seaford, Delaware, for nearly 70 years, was inducted into the Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Newspaper Hall of Fame on February 27 before 290 reporters, editors and other newspaper executives at the annual Editorial Awards Luncheon of the Association's Winter Convention. The selection by the MDDC Press Association recognized Robinson for "a remarkable career combining quality hometown journalism with a rare vision that helped bring progress to his region." Robinson, 89, continues to write a column for The Leader & State Register and serves as a mentor and cheerleader in his role as editor emeritus for that western Sussex County newspaper, which he owned and edited from 1934 to 1964. Robinson became only the 31st person honored by the Association with enshrinement at the Hall of Fame, which is located in the Journalism Building at the University of Maryland, College Park.
