Monsters Star in NAA Literacy Ads |
| Sulley, the top kid scarer at Monsters,
Inc., and his best friend and scare assistant, Mike, are the latest movie characters to be
featured in the Newspaper Association of Americas (NAA) literacy ad campaign. Sulley and Mike are the main characters from Walt Disney Pictures/Pixar Animation Studios "Monsters Inc.," a computer-animated feature about the things that go bump in the night and the havoc that ensues when a little girl named Boo stumbles into their world. Under and image of Mike and Sulley reading the Monstropolis Times, the ad reads, "Encourage your little monsters to read a newspaper every day!" The "Monsters Inc." characters join the roster of those from other recent films including "Cats & Dogs," "Chicken Run," "Final Fantasy," "Shrek," and "Stuart Little" in NAA ads encouraging young people to read newspapers. The black-and-white and full-color ads are available in quarter and full-page, standard and 50-inch web formats and can be downloaded at www.naa.org/display/monstersinc. |
