Online Newspaper Companies Merge |
| PowerAdz and AdOne, two online newspaper
application service providers, announced a merger in October. The new company will service
more than 1,600 daily and weekly newspaper across the country and aggregate more than 1
million paid newspaper classifieds daily. Founded in 1995, AdOne is a privately held company that has built an online classifieds network. Based in New York, AdOne is backed by companies including Belo Corp., The E.W. Scripps Company, The Hearst Corp., Journal Register Company, Pulitzer Inc. and others. PowerAdz affiliates include suburban, daily and weekly newspapers around the country and includes several large newspapers such as the New York Post, Journal Register Company, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. |
