Reese Cleghorn interns announced for summer of 2015
Six interns were chosen for MDDC's highly competitive Reese Cleghorn internship program, which offers college students a paid, eight-week immersion in a professional newsroom. The selection committee, comprised of Terry Headlee of the Frederick News-Post, Frank Quine, retired University of Maryland, Philip Merrill School of Journalism, Steve Gunn of the Annapolis Capital, Paul Milton of the Baltimore Sun Media Group and Tom Lithicum, of the Capitol News Service, interviewed 13 candidates from 8 schools over a two-day period in January.
These students were matched with member publications who asked to host interns. MDDC supports the internships through individual gifts to the Press Foundation as well as a portion of the proceeds from the Classified Advertising Network.
