MDDC Hall of Fame Nomination Deadline is November 1

MDDC Press Association Hall of Fame Committee Chairman Jim Flood, Sr. reminds members that Nov. 1 is the deadline for nominations for election to the MDDC Newspaper Hall of Fame for 2002.

The requirements for nomination as adopted by the Association’s Board of Directors, are as follows:

1. Election to the Hall of Fame is a distinctive honor earned by an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the newspaper industry.

2. The nominated person must be, or have been, long employed at a newspaper that is a member of the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association or is eligible for membership. Posthumous selections may be made.

Each nomination is to be accompanied by a biography, not to exceed one typewritten page, and an 8x10 portrait-type color photograph.
