WEBINAR - COVID-19 Social Media Trends

MDDC has partnered with Friends 2 Follow to host a one-hour ZOOM webinar on Thursday, June 4th at 3pm and again on Wednesday June 10th at 11am. This webinar will provide valuable insight on social media trends during COVID-19, and how to drive revenue and reader engagement as we emerge from the Coronavirus crisis.

Reinig Morris co-founded Friends 2 Follow to overcome advertisers’ objections to buying newspaper advertising because, “we have a Facebook page.”

Morris, who has years of internet sales experience, will show how Facebook and other social media sites are eating our lunch and how you can start taking back market share from them.

Social-powered advertising may be a new concept for some media companies and their staffs, but advertisers are up to speed and spending big time. That’s why Facebook’s revenue jumped 27 percent to $70 billion last year.

Coronavirus has made things more complicated by driving readers desperate for information to social media more often while advertisers cut spending and newspapers reduce staff.

Now, as we emerge from the shadow of this crisis, is the time to turn this threat into an opportunity that will help your communities reconnect using the dynamic combination of newspapers and social media.
